Still basking in the triumphs of 2020, South Florida-based singer Novel-T is preparing to release her first song for 2021.
She did not go into detail about the track but said it will be released in April and is produced by P And N Publishing, a company she operates with husband Howard Perry. Its sound will be consistent with the songs that have brought her success in the past two years.
“As far as the feel, pretty much the same; my reggae roots will always be evident; and the message in the music will continue to uplift, empower, spread love and bring hope, as far as possible,” said Novel-T.
P And N Publishing produced ‘Keep it Moving’, one of two number one songs for Novel-T in South Florida in 2020. The other was ‘Love Won’t Let us Wait’, a collaboration with singer Peter G. In 2019, she scored her first number one with ‘Tough Like A Diamond’, produced by Chyna Nicole.
Performing since the 1990’s, Novel-T credits hard work for her coming of age as an artist.
“Professionally, I have worked on my craft quite a bit, not only in terms of the art of singing, but also understanding that being an effective artist is really about how you make people feel and what they come away with after hearing your music,” she said.
