Canada’s dancehall artist Empress Divine released a new video for her latest single ‘Sweet Jamaica’ on July 15th. ‘Sweet Jamaica’ is produced by Canadian Jamaican based recording label Konsequence Muzik and is available in all leading online stores. Fans can check out the new video on YouTube and other visual platforms.
Empress Divine and her team have been working on this project for quite some time, and she is very excited about the result. “This song and video have been in the making throughout the pandemic, and I am very excited about this release,” Empress Divine said.
Filmed in Jamaica, the visuals depict the greenery and the natural beauty of the Island and highlight specifically the world-famous Dunn’s River Water Falls in Ocho Rios, Kingston, and the beautiful view of Portland.
‘Sweet Jamaica’ and the accompanying video tap into Empress Divine’s strong and rooted Jamaican heritage. “This track highlights the beautiful and picturesque natural environment of this luscious Caribbean Island,” she said. “The lyrics and visuals display why everyone should visit Jamaica to experience this unique culture. Once you have listened to the song and watched this video, you will want to visit and have this Jamaican experience”.
Known for songs like ‘Real Friends’, ‘Natty Haffi Grow’, ‘Stop the Violence’ and ‘Jah Lives’; Empress Divine will be performing at Rastafest on July 31st in Niagara Falls, and the Kingston Music Festival on Aug 7th at Downsview Park in Toronto.
