Emerging artist Miztrizz is turning heads with her latest dancehall single, ‘Wine n’ Jiggle’, a vibrant track that highlights her ability to move seamlessly between musical genres. “As an artist, I believe my music is without boundaries,” says Miztrizz, whose sound reflects influences from reggae, R&B, and dancehall. “Although I’m known for reggae-R&B fusion, there was an era of dancehall inspiration that I hadn’t really exhibited musically.”
Her latest single is a testament to her diverse musical journey, which began long before she started recording. Miztrizz’s early years were spent performing dance routines at events with a DJ sound crew, an experience that shaped her eclectic fashion sense and influenced her writing style.
Looking ahead, Miztrizz is hard at work on her debut EP, set to release in Spring 2025. She describes her creative process as rhythm-driven, with songs emerging organically from melodies sparked by a beat. The upcoming project will feature reggae-R&B fusion tracks alongside unreleased dancehall-inspired songs, offering listeners a rich, genre-blending experience.
“As much as I create without limitations, I want my music to reflect my growth and versatility,” she explains.
While gaining traction as a new artist, Miztrizz acknowledges the challenges, particularly assembling the right team to market and promote her work. Yet, she remains optimistic about her journey, collaborating with producers and other artists to ensure her EP captures her full artistic range.
