Reggae artiste Jahbar I is currently working on the follow up to his 2018 debut album, ‘JAHBAR I DEHYA’.
The firebrand singjay shares production duty on his latest project with his father Melbourne ‘George’ Miller who is the drummer and leader of the legendary Firehouse Band. The album which will feature collaborations with Tarrus Riley and Luciano is slated to be released later this year on the Guerilla Lion Records imprint.
“My father and I have been working on this project for a while now. So far, we’ve recorded some great tracks, and we have several more to go. We haven’t decided on how many songs will be featured on the album as yet. We haven’t even selected a title for it, but I can assure my fans that it’s going to be a great album,” said the artiste.
In the meantime, he’s also focusing on the promotion of his single titled ‘Starz’ featuring Tarrus Riley.
“We’ve been pushing this song since late last year and we’re getting a lot of positive feedback about it from fans in various parts of the world including Jamaica, Africa, Europe, the US, England, and Canada. We’re going to ramp up the promotion very soon with the release of a video,” he said.
Jahbar I recently delivered an impressive acoustic performance at the Reggae in Action concert which was held at the Police Officers Club in Kingston. His set included songs from his debut album such as Like ‘Lightning’, ‘Wipe Your Eyes’, ‘High Tonic’, and ‘Bad Jabiru’.
