Trapycal Buzzing with ‘You Can’ Single

There’s been a buzz surrounding the single ‘You Can’ ever since it was produced and released by Olando Graham/Topchef Records. The track, which was recorded by St Thomas native Trapycal, has quickly become a featured item on the playlist of several radio disc jockeys both locally and internationally.

Trapycal, born Yulando Bently Mitchell, says he feels elated about the support that the song has been getting.
“I try to be real and just be myself in my music, so I am truly grateful for the vibes surround the song. For me, it is whatever Jah has to offer me in music,” Trapycal, a former Yallahs High School student, said.

‘You Can’ also demonstrates the progress Trapycal has made in his career since he recorded his first song ‘Burn Dem Out’ over a decade ago.
“I take inspiration from most of the 90’s artistes like Bounty Killer, Buju Banton, Sizzla, Jah Cure, Capleton, and Beenie Man. I try to learn as much from them and apply it with what Jah has instilled in me when doing my music,” Trapycal added.

He has also shared that he is determined to help bring back Reggae music to its glory days through his “very different and authentic musical style”.
“One of the things I would like to see change in the music industry is for conscious artiste to get more attention. So that is one of my focus right now, to help make this change through my music,” he said.

At the moment, the singjay is getting ready to release a six-track EP titled ‘Son of Reggae’, which will be released by the end of this year.
