Shari Beckford Delivers a Miracle

Shari Beckford, a Jamaican gospel singer strongly influenced by American country music, leaned heavily on that sound for ‘Miracle’, her latest song. It is produced by Howard Keizs for KeizsBeats.

According to the South Florida-based artist, “Miracle” is an inspiring anthem of faith, hope, perseverance, and the belief that even during life’s most difficult seasons, a breakthrough is still possible.”

‘Miracle’ — which is also the title of her six-song EP — was launched during a listening party on July 24 at Village Meeting Hall in Sunrise, South Florida. It was attended by several noted people including Ephraim Martin, founder of the International Reggae and World Music Awards, and Terrel Blackett, Shari Beckford’s manager.

The EP contains ‘I Will Not Break’, her first song which is produced by saxophonist Dean Fraser. It was released six years ago.

Pointing to country legends such as Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers and Charley Pride among her biggest influences, the sound of the American South can be heard on some of her previous songs including ‘Angel or Demon’ which is also in the EP.

“Country music gives me the freedom to be vulnerable, to share my journey, and hopefully remind people that even in difficult moments, there’s always room for hope. That’s exactly what ‘Miracle’ is about,” said Shari Beckford.
