Dancehall deejay Pyceral is hoping to inspire a positive change throughout the world with his latest single ‘It’s Crazy’. The track, which was produced by Delly Ranx on the Pure Music Production, is already generating a buzz following its release in September this year.
The singjay, real name Maurice Anthony Grant, said he was pleased with the support he has been getting.
“I am very happy and pleased with the support that the song is getting. When Delly and I decided to work on a song, I said that I wanted to do something that will highlight what is happening in the world and also to inspire change in the minds and hearts of people,” said Pyceral, who added that he is gearing up to release several new singles next year.
“I am working on some new projects with Delly Ranx that will be ready for 2025. I am excited because these songs will be special, a lot of things are happening in the world today and people are sinking more and more in despair. They need songs that will uplift them and give them solutions to their problems,” he said.
Pyceral, who hails from Bull Bay, has been in the music business since the mid-90s. However, despite the fact that he has experienced several ups and downs, the former Trinity Vill Secondary School student said he is not going to give up on his dream of becoming a successful recording artiste.
“When I was a little boy going to school I used to listen to General Echo and the way he delivers his lyrics on the riddim. That definitely inspired me to choose music then as a youth, and that feeling has not changed even though there have been many ups and downs. Music is my life, and I believe that I have the quality. My musical style is different, and it is something that people always talk about. I always try to inspire youths down the right path with my music,” he said.
Pyceral is also known for the song ‘Ever Happy’ on the Rookie Production label.
