Producer Revisits Capleton’s, Heart Haffi Clean Up

When producer Marvin Reid, aka Skitta, entered the music industry in 2000, he did so to produce music that would make a positive impact on the world.

“Over the years I’ve tried my best to produce music that will uplift and entertain the people. Understanding the power and the influence of music I have never strayed from the mission,” he said.

The Manchester-born producer who resides in the US recently decided to revisit one of his most successful projects; a song done by Capleton titled ‘Heart Haffi Clean Up’ which was released in 2004.

“After observing a lot of the things that are causing pain and suffering in the world including, wars, global warming and Covid 19. I wanted to produce a song to address what’s going on in the world right now. However, one day after listening to one of my earlier projects, the Kattanine rhythm, I realised that I already had the perfect song.”

He continued, “Heart Haffi Clean Up” is as relevant today as it was when it was released 20 years ago. Capleton is one of the most conscious artistes in reggae and dancehall music. If you study his songs carefully, you’ll notice that he’s always promoting love, righteousness, equality and justice for all.”

The new version of ‘Heart Haffi Clean Up’ is scheduled to be released along with a video this Friday.

“I believe wholeheartedly that the message in this song is needed now more than ever. So, I’m going to drop a newly mixed and remastered version of it this Friday. The original version was a success, and I am confident this new version will also resonate with music lovers worldwide,” said Reid.

He also revealed that he plans to release newly mixed versions of several other songs that were done on the Kattanine rhythm by artistes such as Buju, Chezidek, Richie Spice, Anthony Cruz and Chuck Fenda.
