Montreal’s reggae artist Paris Ivy has reached a significant milestone in her burgeoning music career, as her hit single “Chant” climbed to the No. 1 position on the Canadian Top 20 Reggae and Dancehall Chart on June 6 after an impressive 22-week run.
The achievement marks the first chart-topping single for the Toronto-born, Montreal-raised singer, whose dedication and passion for music have steadily earned her recognition across Canada’s reggae scene.
Paris Ivy is no stranger to performing before large audiences. Since launching her musical journey at the age of 15, she has showcased her distinctive sound at major cultural and community events, including Jamaica Day, Canada Day celebrations, the Spice Island Cultural Event, the Ovarian Cancer Canada fundraiser, and Grenada Day.
The singer described the moment she learned that “Chant” had reached the top of the chart as both emotional and rewarding.
