Reggae Singer Leroy Gibbons has joined the list of reggae artists who have decided to record gospel music. Gibbons recently recorded some of his favorite gospel classics that are featured on his new EP ‘Heaven Bound’, which will surely please the palate of his fans.
The five-song EP includes gospel classics ‘Heaven Sounding Sweet’, ‘By and By’, ‘Peace in the Valley’, ‘We Thank Thee’, and ‘Turn it Over’. Produced by TasJay Productions, ‘Heaven Bound’ is scheduled to be released on August 2nd, 2022.
Leroy Gibbons burst on the dancehall scene in the mid-1980s with his strong voice and Lovers Rock style. He joined the King Jammys camp, performing with the sound system and recording the album ‘This Magic Moment’ for the label. He is known mainly for cover versions of oldies, such as ‘Cupid, ‘This Magic Moment, ‘Stir It Up, and a few of his originals. Leroy currently spends his time between Canada and Jamaica; and is in the studio working on several music projects.
‘Heaven Bound’ will be available on all leading online stores on August 2nd. CEO of Tasjay Productions James Smith said a medley video of all five songs on the EP is in the works. Fans can stay tuned!
