Kirk Diamond Wins Back 2 Back JUNO Awards

Kirk Diamond and Finn clinched the 2024 Reggae Recording of the Year at the JUNO opening night awards in Halifax, Nova Scotia, for their album ‘Dread,’ marking a consecutive win for the duo.

Their collaboration also secured victory in 2023 with ‘Reggae Party,’ featuring Kairo Mclean. For Kirk Diamond, this victory adds to his total JUNO awards wins, initially winning in 2018 for ‘Greater.’ Nominated five times, Diamond’s prominence in Canadian reggae is unmistakable.

Competing against formidable contenders like Ammoye featuring Turbulence with ‘Stir This Thing,’ Exco Levi with ‘Feel Like Home,’ Jah Mila with ‘Roots Girl,’ and ‘Rush Dem’ by Omega Mighty featuring 4Korners and Haviah Mighty, Diamond and Finn’s triumph is commendable.

The JUNO Awards, recognizing Canadian music excellence since 1970, will climax with a grand ceremony at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on Sunday, March 24, 2024.
