While its influence may have subconsciously informed the writing process, Diamond says “Don’t Say No” approaches the emotional narrative from a different angle.
“Silly Games” is probably one of my favourite lovers rock songs, so it may have been sitting somewhere in my subconscious when I was writing ‘Don’t Say No.’ To me, though, this song tells the other side of that story. I started thinking about what it would sound like to look at that situation from the outside—to see two people who clearly have something between them and say, “Don’t say no,” Diamond explained.
The collaboration introduces Kryz Mrk to a broader audience, highlighting the musical talent emerging from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. A singer, guitarist and versatile musician, Kryz Mrk contributes featured vocals, instrumentation and production, helping establish the song’s musical foundation.
