“Community and preserving Jamaican Culture is very close to my heart ‘says Claude, so being able to provide a service that enables Jamaica to grow economically makes my job so much more enjoyable,” he said.  “Many Jamaican families back home are depending on their children and family members here in Canada to aid them financially and JN Money services makes these transactions so much easier weather you are sending money, paying a bill or making an investment,” Thompson continued.

“As the Regional Manager in Canada, I feel that it is necessary to connect with members of our community to better understand our customers and their needs.”

JN Money participates and sponsors many local initiatives and seeing that music is a vital part of Jamaica’s culture, it is of no surprise that JN Money is the leading Corporate Sponsor for the Reggae North Reggae Music Awards taking place on Sunday September 29th at the Rose Theatre in Brampton.

Jamaica’s musical and dance forms are rich, powerful and vibrant; they reflect both the high and low points in the society. Music tells a story, and these are aspects of Jamaican life which represent the general sentiments of the working class and generate feelings of joy and national pride.

Claude Thompson said that he is thrilled to be presenting an award to a local Canadian artist on September 29th.  “Knowing that we have so much talent within our community and to be able to acknowledge such talent is a great honour.”

JN Money Services has been on Eglinton Avenue West for over 30 years. This business allows members of the Caribbean diaspora to send money “back home” to the islands – including places such as Jamaica, Antigua, Haiti, and Guyana.
