Jessaii Bringing Love and Light Through Reggae

Vancouver’s Multifaceted Musical Force Jessaii, stands out as a true polymath – a singer, songwriter, lyricist, recording artist, music educator, workshop facilitator, vocal coach, and emerging music producer. Her journey in the reggae genre has been nothing short of remarkable, marked by soulful melodies, insightful lyrics, and an unwavering commitment to spreading love and unity through her music.

Jessaii burst onto the scene in August 2020 with her debut reggae recording on Spotify, titled ‘Rise.’ Produced by Haus Records and engineered by LT Irie, the track served as a captivating introduction to her unique musicality. Following up in 2021 with ‘Higha Love,’ a collaboration with Moezart Beats, Jessaii solidified her position as an artist to watch.

Now, fans are eagerly anticipating her upcoming release, ‘You Da Light,’ produced by Dj Kemo. As she continues to ride the wave of success, Jessaii’s passion for reggae was sparked in her mid-20s during a transformative Burning Spear concert. The warmth of Roots Reggae Music ignited a fire within her, leading to regular attendance at Reggae nights in her hometown of Regina, Saskatchewan, where her spirit felt the freest.

Inspired by the human family, Jessaii’s music nourishes the hearts of her audience, echoing deeper calls to love. Her lyrics convey messages of resilience, facing adversity, rising through challenges, and fostering community and unity. She believes that music is love, and her catchy melodies and insightful lyrics serve as a testament to this belief.

Beyond her musical pursuits, Jessaii holds a Bachelor of Music Education Degree in Voice and currently serves as a K-7 Music Teacher. Her commitment to passing on her skills and knowledge to young artists reflects a vision for the future, where mentorship and training contribute to the development of the next generation of creators.

As an educator, Jessaii has traveled extensively throughout Western and Northern Canada, offering workshops and facilitating youth camps in music, theatre, dance, and musical theatre. Her decades of experience in these fields have made her a beacon of inspiration for aspiring young artists.
