Di Namic Ready to Trample the Beast

Although he recently released his first songs, singer Di Namic has been knocking at the door for several years, performing on talent contests in his native Jamaica, New England and South Florida.

Add Toronto, Canada to that list. Di Namic is one of the acts scheduled to perform on the ‘Wonderful Vibrations’ series, scheduled for May 10-12 in Ontario.

His songs, ‘Trample the Beast’ and ‘Hungry Song’, are likely to be part of his set. They are inspired by global affairs and personal experience.

“Trample The Beast is about an oppressed people/world that has been created by a system of darkness, evil, corruption and blood-sucking governments across the globe. It’s about a people who are walking around feeling hope in a system that has no spiritual enlightenment, everything is based on selfishness, greed, evil, and a power-hungry attitude, etc. You can see people trying to find hope by looking in the wrong places with not many leaders with the ability to lead them back to the basics of life,” he explained.

“About Hungry Song, that comes about the pressure and lack of necessities in many parts of the world, not to mention myself growing up, not like I was starving but, coming from a family where we didn’t enjoy much privileges as others. It is very relatable, worse as a kid you crave for things, but your parents couldn’t afford it.”

Based in South Carolina, Di Namic is originally from St. Mary, a rural parish in eastern Jamaica. Influenced by pioneer reggae singers including Alton Ellis and Delroy Wilson, he entered several talent shows in Jamaica, and maintained his music link when he migrated to the United States.

Two years ago, Di Namic changed gears and recorded ‘Trample the Beast’ and ‘Hungry Song’, both produced by Murray Man of Mello Vibes in Birmingham, England.  Recently, he performed in Sao Paulo, Brazil with the Mellow Vibes Sound, sound system.
