Rhythm & Blues Cambridge is inviting the community to come together for its annual Emancipation Day Celebration on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Soper Park, 120 Shade Street, Cambridge.
The free, family-friendly festival will honour the legacy of Emancipation while celebrating the richness, resilience and diversity of Black culture through a full day of live music, cultural performances, food, family activities and community engagement.
This year’s entertainment lineup features an impressive roster of artists from across Canada. Audiences will enjoy performances by internationally recognized reggae singer, songwriter and producer Tony Anthony, known for his soulful vocals and uplifting music; Elaine Shepherd (“Lil’Bit”), the JUNO Award-winning artist whose genre-blending reggae explores themes of empowerment, healing and identity; Kairo McLean, the two-time JUNO Award-winning reggae artist whose socially conscious music inspires youth and positive change; and Corden Barrett, who brings soulful Caribbean rhythms to the stage.
Headlining the celebration is Rayzalution, Canada’s acclaimed all-female reggae band. Known for its dynamic live performances and exceptional musicianship, the group delivers music that celebrates unity, positivity and Caribbean cultural pride.
In addition to live music, attendees can experience vibrant cultural performances by the Junkanoo Legends Dancers, the energetic Revellers Dancers, talented local poets and many other performers throughout the day.
There will also be plenty of activities for the entire family, including a Kids’ Corner, interactive workshops, a diverse vendor marketplace, local community organizations and a variety of food vendors offering delicious cuisine.
Whether you’re looking to celebrate freedom, learn about Black history and culture, dance to outstanding live music, shop local vendors or simply spend time with family and friends, Rhythm & Blues Cambridge’s Emancipation Day Celebration offers something for everyone.
Admission is free, and everyone is welcome.
