Roots singer Mystic Warrior is looking for the big breakthrough with ‘Be Fine’, his latest single, which is co-produced by his Lee Benjamin Recordz and Rocky Valley Records. It was officially launched this month in Kingston.
Mystic Warrior, who is from Clarendon parish in central Jamaica, began recording nine years ago and has released several songs for different producers. This is his first single accompanied by a music video which also premiered at the Kingston event, held at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel.
‘Be Fine’ is the lead single from his pending debut EP, scheduled for release in early 2025.
“I have a signature sound, sometimes can be soft, sometimes can be rough, which I developed over time. And I have a unique way of writing,” said the dreadlocked artist.
After almost a decade in the music business, Mystic Warrior believes ‘Be Fine’ is the song that will open new doors for him, given the proper promotion.
“My plan is to get this song on all international platforms, because ‘Be Fine’ can grow to be a household song. It’s timeless,” he stated.
Like ‘Be Fine’, some of his previous songs such as ‘Mastermind’ and ‘Dem A Rush’, are message-oriented, but Mystic Warrior disclosed that his music is shaped by “all types of genres” — from roots-reggae to hip hop and rock. He and his team plan to release two more singles prior to the release of his EP.
