An unapologetic patriot, singer Causion salutes his home of Antigua on ‘Caribbean Vacation’, his latest song which features veteran Jamaican deejay Red Fox.
Released on November 17, it is co-written and co-produced by Causion and Jamaican keyboardist Maurice Gregory, a former member of Third World. They also performed similar duties on ‘Antigua Me Come From’, Causion’s song that was used by Antigua’s tourism industry as part of its promotional campaign. ‘Caribbean Vacation’ is spearheaded by Elite Island Resorts, a leisure company that promotes high-end hotels in Antigua.
Causion, who grew up in the town of St. Paul, did not hesitate when approached to be part of it. “We have so much to talk about, it is just a beautiful place to be, and you know we forever pushing Antigua,” he said.
‘Antigua Me Come From’ is one of the tracks from ‘Mission in Progress’, Causion’s EP which was released in June. Elite Island Resorts has also released a video for ‘Caribbean Vacation’ to further stimulate interest in the song and Antigua, one of the Caribbean’s leading tourist destinations.
