Dancing with Moses I

Fresh from a sprightly performance at Rebel Salute, Moses I is promoting ‘I Could Make You Dance’, his new song which was released in December.

The singer gave fans a taste of the track and its accompanying dance at ‘Salute’ while performing ‘Crazy Look’, his 1998 hit song, with Capleton. “Mi love di energy from di people. What wi have to do now is build on that vibe,” said Moses I.

‘I Could Make You Dance’ is different in sound from most of his previous songs. It has a funk beat which Moses I says recalls the days when he went clubbing and listened to pop stars like Michael Jackson.

“With music there’s no boundaries an’ as a writer an’ creator, I never limit myself,” said the Rastafarian artist, who produced the track for his Livon Music company.

Although known for hardcore roots songs like ‘Reparation’, Moses I is not afraid to experiment with other genres. ‘Déjà Vu’, his prior release, was a roots ballad saluting the ladies.

Moses I, who is from the Liguanea area of Kingston, Jamaica, has been around the music business since the late 1980s. ‘Crazy Look’, which earned him a tour of Europe with Capleton, is his biggest hit.
