As Canadians celebrated the nation’s 159th birthday on July 1, rising young singer and actress Jazmin Headley marked the occasion with the release of her inspiring new single, “Canada Our Home,” now available on all leading online music platforms.
The patriotic anthem celebrates the values that define Canada, highlighting the country’s beauty, kindness, unity, multiculturalism, and diversity. Released on Canada Day, the song serves as both a tribute to the nation and a reminder of the shared values that bring Canadians together.
At just 13 years old, Headley continues to establish herself as one of Canada’s most promising young entertainers. The Canadian-born singer and actress gained international attention with her 2025 single, “Fire Inside,” which featured two of Jamaica’s legendary music icons, Bounty Killer and Richie Stephens.
The daughter of Jamaican immigrants Mark and Deborah Headley, Jazmin proudly represents the multicultural spirit that is at the heart of Canada. Her parents made Canada their home many years ago, and the young performer says she is honored to celebrate the country through music.
“I’m incredibly proud to release Canada Our Home on Canada Day. This song is about celebrating the country I love and the people who make it so special. I hope Canadians from every community will hear it, connect with the message, and feel proud to call Canada home,” said Jazmin Headley.
“Canada Our Home” was written and produced by acclaimed singer-songwriter Mark Tony Anthony Bennett and released on his Phylani Music label. Bennett revealed that the song has been close to his heart for nearly two decades.
“This song was written and recorded by myself 18 years ago, and I have always wanted to re-record it,” Bennett explained. “I have been following Jazmin’s career, and as soon as the opportunity arose, we went into the studio.”
The recording was produced alongside renowned musician and producer Eddie Bullen, who performed all of the instrumentation and mixed the track, bringing the uplifting composition to life with a polished contemporary sound.
Bennett believes the song’s message is especially meaningful at a time when Canadians continue to celebrate the nation’s diversity and unity.
“We will be working hard to promote this song because it is more than just a new single being released. We want as many Canadians across the country as possible to listen to “Canada Our Home,” and I am sure they will relate to the lyrics.”
With its heartfelt message and timely release, “Canada Our Home” aims to become a soundtrack for national pride, celebrating the people, cultures, and values that make Canada a place so many are proud to call home.
“Canada Our Home” is now available through all leading online music stores and streaming platforms.
