Yeshie Renee Creates a Commotion

A lot has transpired since London-based singjay Yeshie Renee released her first song four years ago. She has worked with producers in that city and Jamaica to get her career going in both regions.

Yeshie Renee is currently promoting the songs, ‘Commotion’, ‘Boom’ and ‘Give Thanks’ which shows her willingness to break out as a dancehall-reggae artiste.

‘Boom’ was recorded in 2020 and released in January this year. It is produced by Big Zeeko out of London where Yeshie Renee has called home since she was 12 years old.

“Since January I started working with Flo 1 Music in Canada and Gary G in Jamaica and I’ve seen massive growth which I’m very grateful for. I’ve managed to perform at some big shows in London and Jamaica such as the Kite Fest,” she said.

Yeshie Renee also disclosed that her songs have enjoyed steady rotation on the influential Hot 97 radio station in New York, as well as in Jamaica and Canada.

Her recording career launched four years ago with the single, ‘Ring Ring’. That has been followed by ‘Bring Back the Love’ with her brother Majah Bless, which is dedicated to her hometown of West Kingston in Jamaica.

With strong family roots in that community, Yeshie Renee films a music video there every chance she gets. The latest is ‘Commotion’ which was released in late 2022.

According to her, filming in West Kingston, “Shows the audience a better picture of who Yeshie Renee is, what I represent and where I come from.”
