Wayne Wonder Feels the Love in Vegas

Singer Wayne Wonder will help bring the dancehall vibe for the Lovers and Friends Festival which takes place May 6 at Las Vegas Festival Grounds.

Wonder, whose 2002 song ‘No Letting Go’ was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America in August 2022, will appear alongside a number of major acts from the 1990s and early 2000s.

Fellow Jamaicans Shaggy, Sean Paul and Beenie Man are also part of the event as well as Kevin Lyttle from St. Vincent and The Grenadines.  Mariah Carey, Boyz II Men, Blackstreet, En Vogue, Missy Elliott, Usher and Pitbull are some of the many heavy hitters on the show.

Produced by Steven “Lenky” Marsden, ‘No Letting Go’ was released in late 2002 on his massive Diwali rhythm. That beat also yielded hit singles such as Sean Paul’s ‘Get Busy’ and Bounty Killer’s ‘Sufferer’.

‘No Letting Go’ peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2003. It was certified gold for sales of over 500,000 units.

Some of Wonder’s other hit songs are ‘Saddest Day’ and ‘Movie Star’ (Bonafide Love), ‘Joyride’ and ‘Keep Them Coming’.
