Toronto Celebrates 20 Years of the Bob Marley Birthday

Toronto’s iconic Bob Marley Birthday Tribute returns for its 20th anniversary, honouring the timeless legacy of the King of Reggae, Jamaican culture, and the city’s deeply rooted reggae community. The milestone celebration takes place Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Lee’s Palace (529 Bloor St. W.), running from 8:00 PM until late for a night filled with powerful music, culture, and community connection.

Now two decades strong, the Bob Marley Birthday Tribute has become a cornerstone of Toronto’s reggae calendar and is widely recognized as one of the city’s most anticipated reggae events of the year. As Toronto’s longest-running Bob Marley tribute, the annual celebration consistently brings together top-tier local talent, selectors, and cultural leaders for an immersive, high-energy experience.

The 20th anniversary edition is headlined by a live performance from 11-piece reggae powerhouse Reggaddiction, joined by special guest performances from Friendlyness of The Human Rights band and Juno Award–winning artist Kairo McLean, along with additional surprise guest appearances. On the decks are Pressure Drop and Bless Up Selectas, delivering heavyweight selections through the 15,000-watt Bless Up Soundsystem, with hosting duties by Kwasi “Da Food God” Douglas.

Beyond the music, the event continues its long-standing commitment to community upliftment. Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations in support of the Parkdale Community Food Bank. The night will also feature prize giveaways and a vibrant craft market, reinforcing the event’s community-focused spirit and its dedication to spotlighting Toronto’s downtown reggae scene.

The Bob Marley Birthday Tribute is presented by NuFunk Concerts, in association with community sponsors including Noble Works, Jamaica Tourism, Stush Patty, CIUT 89.5 FM Reggae North, RastaFest Canada, Fusicology, ModoLive, Slammin Events, Verified Communications, Play De Record, and more.
