After a 10-year absence reggae artiste Terry Linen is set to return to New York City in July.
“The first time I performed in the US, I was on a tour with Sanchez, promoting my debut album titled Terry Linen in 2000. Since then, I’ve performed all over the states. Everywhere I’ve been I’ve always received a warm reception but there’s something magical about performing in New York,” he said.
The golden voice singer who shot to fame in the late 90s with a cover version of Whitney Houston’s, ‘Your Love Is My Love’, is the headline act for Pastor Sheldon Evans’s Gospel Cruise. This event is scheduled to take place onboard the Liberty Belle Cruise Ship which will be docked at the Brooklyn Army Terminal on July 7.
“I’m looking forward to this event, I can’t wait to re-connect with my fan base in New York and I am sure some new fans will be added to the list after this upcoming performance. Over the years a lot of persons living in New York who have never seen me performing live before having reached out to me via social media expressing their desire to see me on stage. Now the time has come and I’m going to make it worth the wait,” he said.
He continued, “I plan to deliver a healing performance for my fans in New York, they’ve been waiting for a very long time to see me. I’m going to make up for my absence by giving them something to treasure for a lifetime. My music is not just reggae music it’s healing music and I’m going deliver the healing when I touch the stage on the Liberty Bell in New York on July 7.”
Terry Linen recently performed at events in various parts of the US including California and Florida. He is currently enjoying much attention with songs such as ‘God Is My Weakness’, ‘Money Games’, ‘Goodness of God’, ‘No Longer A Slave’ and ‘Just Say Yes’.
