A collaboration between Sean Paul and Maxi Priest is bound to create a buzz. Which is exactly what the two stars do on ‘Feel so Alive’, their song which is produced by Lion Face.
It has been number one for the past three weeks on The Voice of The Caribbean radio station’s weekly Florida Reggae And Dancehall Top 20 Radio Singles Chart.
“There are two mixes to the song, but the label (Intercept Records) went with the Big Band Mix by the legendary Stephen Stanley,” Lion Face disclosed.
Stanley is one of reggae’s premier engineers, having worked on many of Island Records’ major projects during the 1980s by acts such as Grace Jones and Black Uhuru.
‘Feel so Alive’ is one of five songs on ‘The Signal’, a five-track EP released last June by the California-based Intercept Records.
It reunited Lion Face with Sean Paul. They have been friends since the late 1990s before the latter’s career exploded with platinum-selling albums and Grammy Awards.
“Me and Sean Paul go way back from Dutty Cup days. I’m grateful for the opportunity Sean and Maxi have given me to manifest my aspirations,” said Lion Face.
The Big Band Mix edition of ‘Feel so Alive’ was released on October 27, one day before the destructive Hurricane Melissa struck Jamaica.
“That kind of delayed its debut until late 2025, but that being said, we are looking forward to taking it to the next level,” said Lion Face.
