Roe Summerz to Drop Second EP

Singer Roe Summerz teams with producers Adrian Hanson and Roel Powell for ‘She Love Me, I Think’, his second EP, which is scheduled for release on February 6.

The six-song project will be released by Hanson’s Donsome Records. Hanson said he and Roe Summerz have been collaborating musically for many years.

“Roe Summerz has worked on many of my productions as a musician, but ‘One Day’ marks the first song project I’m officially releasing with him as an artist,” said Hanson.

Released in December, the acoustic ‘One Day’ is the lead single from ‘She Love Me, I Think’, which will hit the market seven years after ‘Far from Kingston’, Roe Summerz’ first EP.

It is also a departure from most of the projects Hanson is known for. Donsome Records has produced many dancehall ‘riddim’ albums including the ‘Gruesome’ and ‘Freedom Sound’. He also produced ‘I Give You Love’, Mykal Rose’s 2023 album.

Hanson said he has never limited his sound, noting that, “I’ve always been more of a reggae producer than a dancehall producer.”

Roe Summerz is also a producer who has worked with dancehall music’s top artists.  He produced ‘Simma’, one of the songs from Beenie Man’s Grammy-nominated album of the same name.

He has also collaborated on songs with Edley Shine of Born Jamericans, Iffa Cush and Green Lion Crew.
