Music producer Vaughn Cameron has released a soulful new production, the track ‘With You’ by recording artiste Kele. Produced under his Music 2 Di Soul Production Ltd label, the track was officially released on September 29.
“The song gives off a lovers’ rock/roots-reggae feel. It is very catchy and allows listeners to connect with one of Jamaica’s authentic cultural genres,” the producer highlighted.
Since its release, the track has been gaining positive feedback, with it being touted as a potential hit. Being a first-time collaboration between the producer and the artiste, they believe that the result has been a success.
“As a multi-instrumentalist, I zone into what I think the people want to hear and what is missing from today’s music and start working from there. From there, based on the feel, I sometimes incorporate other instrumentalists for a different vibe/sound, so that all the tracks don’t sound the same,” the producer stated.
Describing his style as soul reggae, Cameron is an all-rounder who puts meaning into all his productions.
Currently based in Canada, the producer stays true to his Jamaican roots, which shows in the sound of his music. He has worked with gospel singer Noreta Lewis-Prince on several tracks, including ‘Trust in You’ and ‘Be Glorified’.
In the pipeline for Cameron are several new projects, including a compilation album featuring various artistes. The producer also has a few collaborations with his brother Corden Barrett from Heavy Unit Production in the works.
