Producer Pleased with Response to Hard Rock Rhythm

New York based producer Leon Smillie is pleased with the positive response that his latest project the ‘Hard Rock rhythm’ is receiving.

The roots reggae project which features songs from Capleton, Turbulence, Richie Spice, Lutan Fyah and the producer’s late father Jah Hammed was released in June.  Since then, all the songs on the rhythm have been receiving heavy rotation on local radio stations.

“I honestly can’t complain about the feedback that I’ve been receiving about this project. I’m grateful for all the rotation it’s receiving in Jamaica,” he said.  The easygoing producer says the project is also getting good rotation in the United States, England, and Europe.

“Since we started to promote the project in the US, the rotation has picked up stateside and in England and various parts of Europe. This proves that people in these places still appreciate good reggae music,” said Smillie.

He also revealed that he is getting ready to drop another big reggae rhythm project.  “I’m working on a new project that will feature several top reggae acts including a collaboration with two of the biggest artistes in the biz. It’s going to be epic.”
