D’yani teams with Kacique on ‘Prayer’, one of the songs on producer Romario ‘Romieikon’ English’s ‘Angel Number Riddim’, which was recently released. English says the compilation album is enjoying steady traction months after it came out, with ‘Prayer’ arguably its most popular cut.
That does not surprise D’yani, who is known for songs like ‘Yaad Man’ and ‘Feelings Remix’ (with Jada Kingdom). He was confident its spiritual message would resonate with fans.
“The reception for ‘Prayer’ thus far has been amazing, we are super grateful for all the persons involved and the support we have been getting. Prayer itself has done wonders for me, it’s my conversation with Jah; to express my desire and gratitude, it has done wonders for me throughout my career so to be a part of a track that serves as a direct conversation to Jah is humbling yet sublime,” he said.
‘Forever Life’ by XX3eme, Deeclef with ‘Best Regards’ and ‘Decisive’ by Knaxx are some of the other songs on the ‘Angel Number Riddim’.
D’yani hails from Portmore, a sprawling housing development on the outskirts of Kingston, that has produced acts like Vybz Kartel, Frisco Kid and I Wayne. He holds a degree in International Shipping Logistics and Chain Management from the Caribbean Maritime Institute.
