The inaugural Atlanta Independence Rum & Wine Festival is scheduled for July 4 at Piedmont Park in Georgia. According to promoters, Jabari Productions, the event “will cater to enthusiasts of Caribbean food and art aficionados”. It is also one of the first events to be held in Atlanta as Covid-19 restrictions are gradually wrested due to a strong turnout for vaccinations across the United States. Organizers are hoping for fans to show up in droves after a year of lockdowns because of the killer pandemic.
While locally produced wines and food will be high on its agenda, music is also a major part of the Atlanta Independence Rum & Wine Festival. Ky-Mani Marley, Cham, Inner Circle and fusion artist Afro B are confirmed for the show. “Our full lineup will include soca, Afrobeats, dancehall and reggae artists. The live entertainment promises to provide a well-rounded lineup that will have a little bit of everything I know the attendees will enjoy” said Clinton Garibaldi, CEO of Jabari Productions.
