” In the lush hills of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, a young boy once marched through the yard with two sticks in hand—his first drumsticks, his first microphone. That boy, Garfield Gregory Scarlett, now known to fans internationally as KrazyBonez, was born in 1977 in the Maybole District. Even at age three, it was clear music was his destiny.
Growing up as the eldest of three boys, KrazyBonez was drawn early to the sounds of Bob Marley and Peter Tosh, mimicking their cadence and consciousness. His childhood was steeped in the raw, unfiltered music culture of rural Jamaica—street dances, sound clashes, and community gatherings where music was a unifier. By his teenage years, he had become one of the baddest MCs in his district, earning respect for his energy and commanding voice.
“The name Krazy Bones came from school,” he recalls with a grin. “I was always full of vibes—always pushing boundaries.” That energy would become the heartbeat of everything he touched.
Garfield’s journey took him beyond the Caribbean shores. After time in Montego Bay and Corville Gardens, he migrated first to the United States, then to Canada—bringing with him the heartbeat of Jamaica’s sound system culture. There, he would plant new roots, blending the island’s musical traditions with a global vision.
As a selector, MC, and sound system owner, KrazyBonez founded Venjahanze Intl Sound, a living tribute to his heritage and family line. His clashes were fierce, his presence commanding. Over the years, he earned a stack of championship titles, including Baddadon Canadian Champion (2019), Sound Ago Dead Champion (New York), and Dub Fi Dub Champion (Canada).
But music wasn’t his only venture. Settled in Brampton, Ontario, Garfield became the proud owner of Fresh Kut Barber Salon, a thriving community hub where artistry meets brotherhood. “It’s more than a business,” he says. “It’s a way to give back—to empower others and keep the culture alive.”
At the same time, his entrepreneurial spirit led to the birth of Venjahanze Music Production, co-founded with his daughter, Jaeyla Jewel Scarlett, bridging generations through creativity and mentorship. The platform became a launchpad for emerging talent, fueled by his vision to uplift others through music.
KrazyBonez’s latest single, “Same Man,” was released on September 18th and is quickly making waves, gaining attention from listeners around the world. He is currently working on the official music video for Same Man, which is scheduled for release on October 25th. In addition, KrazyBonez is developing a six-song EP, with plans to release each track as a single throughout 2026.
His discography—‘Without Bail,’ ‘Universal Love,’ and ‘Graveyard Shift’—reflects his spiritual depth and social awareness. Each song is a chapter of perseverance, exploring life’s struggles and triumphs with poetic honesty.
In collaboration and production, he has delivered standout tracks such as ‘Life Lessons,’ ‘Revelation,’ ‘All My Love,’ ‘Daniel,’ and ‘No Holding Back’ with Ras Attitude. He has co-produced hits like ‘Iron’ by Patexx and contributed to chart-topping sound system anthems that have reverberated through dancehalls worldwide.
KrazyBonez’s artistry draws deeply from reggae’s rebel roots—the consciousness of Peter Tosh, the spirituality of Garnet Silk, the activism of Lucky Dube, and the raw energy of Burning Spear and Bob Marley. Yet, his global perspective finds resonance in the messages of Michael Jackson, whose universal themes of love and unity mirror his own.
Today, KrazyBonez stands as a multi-faceted force: Founder & CEO of Venjahanze Music Production, Co-CEO alongside his daughter, business owner, selector, producer, MC, and artist. But beyond titles, he remains a vessel for music—an embodiment of resilience and authenticity.
From the hills of St. Elizabeth to the stages of North America, KrazyBonez continues to carry the torch for reggae’s spirit: defiant, soulful, and deeply human. As he often says, “Music is energy—and I’m just the vessel.”
