Keznamdi Wins GRAMMY for Best Reggae Album

Jamaican singer Keznamdi has scored his first-ever GRAMMY win, capturing Best Reggae Album for his sophomore project Blxxd & Fyah’ at the 2026 GRAMMY Awards.

The announcement came during the Premiere Ceremony at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 1. The victory marked a milestone night for Keznamdi, earning him both his first nomination and first win.

Keznamdi emerged victorious in a fiercely competitive, all-Jamaican category that featured Lila Iké (Treasure Self Love), Vybz Kartel (First Week Out), Jesse Royal (No Place Like Home), and Mortimer (From Within). Released independently on August 22, 2025, the 13-track Blxxd & Fyah’ includes standout collaborations with Kelissa, Mavado, and Masicka, sealing its place as a defining reggae release—and now, a GRAMMY-winning one.

Keznamdi is a globally minded reggae artist whose music is rooted in legacy, family, and cultural inheritance. Born in Kingston, Jamaica to parents who led the iconic reggae group Chakula, he was immersed in music from birth—recording his first song at age five.

A childhood spanning Jamaica, Tanzania, Ethiopia, and later California shaped his expansive worldview and sound. Blending classic reggae with soul, rock, and hip-hop influences, Keznamdi has built an international catalog with over 20 million streams and sold-out performances across North America and the Caribbean.

His acclaimed debut album Bloodline’ captures his mission: honoring heritage, elevating reggae’s standard, and investing not just in music, but in the generations to come
