Karen “Delight” Campbell is a force to be reckoned with in the world of reggae and dancehall music. As co-host of the popular “Riddim up Fridays” on Rootz Reggae Radio, Delight brings her passion for music to thousands of listeners across North America every week. Delight’s love for music began early in life, thanks to her family’s deep roots in the Jamaican music scene. Growing up, she was exposed to artists like Spragga Benz, Buju Banton, and Stone Love, and her love for reggae and dancehall only grew stronger over time. She attended some of the biggest shows and festivals in Toronto from a young age, and her passion for music eventually led her to pursue a career in the industry.
Despite her diverse background in hospitality management, travel and tourism, healthcare, sales, and marketing, Delight’s heart and soul have always been in music. She has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Elephant Man, Movado, Dexta Dapps, Beres Hanmond, Serani, and Gyptian, as well as being a tour event coordinator for actor Shamar Moore.
In addition to her work in the music industry, Delight is also a philanthropist who has done extensive work in the troubled communities where she grew up. She has participated in events like Jamaica Day and the Youth and Talent Awards, and has even won awards of her own, including the 2022 P.E.A.B.O Award for Best “Radio Personality.”
Delight’s passion for music has also led her to found her own promotion company, B3 Promo. Through B3 Promo, she has worked with up-and-coming artists like The Mighty 1ne, Sativa D Black1, Chuck Fenda, and Khausion di Ikon, helping them to develop their careers and reach new audiences. Her work as a musical ambassador extends beyond Canada, with projects taking her all over the world to places like Jamaica, the UK, Mexico, and Ghana.
