The nominees for the 2023 Annual JUNO Awards were announced on Tuesday, January 31st, by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS). The five nominees in this year’s Reggae Recording of the Year category are Ammoye –‘Water’, Celena – ‘Like a Star’, Exco Levi –‘Jah Love’, Kairo Mclean – ‘In the Streets’ and Kirk Diamond, Kairo Mclean and Finn – ‘Reggae Party’.
14 years old, Kairo McLean the winner of the Reggae Recording of the year at the 2022 JUNO Awards, is nominated twice in the category this year. He received nominations for his single ‘In the Streets’ and ‘Reggae Party’ a collaboration with Kirk Diamond and Finn.
After nearly two decades, the 52nd JUNO Awards are slated to be held March 13, 2023, at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta.
