Jamaican Olympian Junelle Bromfield and U.S. track star Noah Lyles officially tied the knot on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at The Conservatory at Blackberry Ridge.
Speaking in an interview with Vogue, Lyles described the “All Shades of Melanin” themed wedding as a magical moment.
“I already knew I was gonna cry, I just didn’t know when,” Lyles said. “But when Junelle read the title of her vows, I was like, ‘Oh, yep, this is the part. This is when I cry’. Her hands shook so much that she couldn’t hold the vow book, so I ended up holding it for her. But I was also crying, so I couldn’t wipe away my own tears. It was a super magical moment.”
Bromfield, reflecting on the ceremony, described it as a celebration of unity.
“I heard I didn’t walk down the aisle. I heard that I ran,” Bromfield said. “It was definitely a ceremony of unity. It was just amazing to see the different cultures mesh into one. Everybody was having fun, interacting and filled with love.”
The reception also reportedly featured a special performance by gospel singer Tasha Cobbs Leonard.
Bromfield wore a custom princess-style gown by Pantora Bridal, featuring intricate crystal embellishments and a dramatic full skirt. For the reception, she later changed into a modern lace mini dress. Lyles complemented the theme in a textured brown suit by Musika, later switching to a second look inspired by his Met Gala appearance. The wedding party was dressed in coordinated shades of brown, reinforcing the “Shades of Melanin” theme. The outdoor ceremony featured soft, elegant tones of champagne, beige, dusty rose, and pale yellow.
The couple got engaged in October 2024 after a relationship that began with an Instagram message in 2018.
While the Olympians attended many of the same track meets during their youth, they did not officially connect until Bromfield reached out on social media.
“Junelle decided to slide into my DMs, asking me the question, ‘Do you cook?’ And so from there, it led to a very long seven-year story of us eventually meeting, falling in love, being able to be with each other, not being able to be with each other, and then finally getting into a relationship where we have always stayed together—and now have gotten married,” Lyles told Vogue.
By 2024, Lyles said he knew he was ready to propose. He designed a ring and planned a surprise proposal disguised as their annual year-end trip with friends.
