Its all About Love for Peter G

Singer Peter G, who has worked with some of reggae’s top artists and musicians, released his self-titled EP on March 28. It contains six songs, which were co-produced by Irie Pen Records and the Taxi Gang.

Peter G wrote or co-wrote five of the songs with Hopeton Lindo. The EP is distributed by Zojak Worldwide.  All the songs on Peter G have been released. “Two of them”, “Not Taking No” and “Let me Please You”, topped the South Florida Reggae Chart.

Peter G told this column that the songs are done in his signature style.  “I went for lovers rock specifically because that’s how I started out, listening to R&B songs, and I love writing love songs,” he said.

The EP also includes a solid cover of “When Love Is New”, originally done by American soul singer Arthur Prysock.

Sly and Robbie, keyboardist Robbie Lyn and Franklin “Bubbler” Waul, saxophonist Dean Fraser, trombonist Nambo Robinson, bassist Donald Dennis, drummer George Miller and keyboardist Paul “Wrong Move” Crossdale of The Firehouse Crew, are some of the musicians who played on ‘Peter G’.
