Bahamian singer Iris Stryx is in Jamaica recording a song with Sizzla as well as promoting her latest song. She describes the upcoming single as “very personal and introspective.”
This is her second visit to Jamaica in 2026. Like the previous trip, Iris Stryx will pitch her music to the English-speaking Caribbean’s biggest music market.
“I’ll also be coming to promote ‘No Regrets’, the follow-up to ‘Enchanting’. The music video will be dropping later this month on YouTube,” she disclosed. “‘Enchanting’ went to number one in Jamaica and has surpassed 10 million views. I’m looking forward to sharing this next chapter of the story with the Jamaican audience.”
Released in 2025, ‘Enchanting’ is a dance number that hears Iris Stryx admonishing her man’s ex-lover, telling her that she is a thing of the past. ‘No Regrets’, another track dealing with affairs of the heart, came out in May. The collaboration with Sizzla is Iris Stryx’ first with a Jamaican artist. It blends her sensual sound with one of contemporary reggae’s most fiery personalities.
“Sizzla brings a spiritual depth and cultural conviction that I believe will add something very powerful to the song,” she said.
Iris Stryx was born in Nassau, capital of The Bahamas. She was raised in New Providence, the most populous island in the country. There, she listened to sounds that helped shape her music, which she describes as an “airy, melodic fusion of Afrobeats, dancehall, R&B and pop, grounded in my Bahamian and wider Caribbean identity.”
