Confidence is something Honorebel has never been short on. That resourcefulness is a feature of the promotion for ‘On Top of The World’, his latest song.
Convinced he has a summer hit on his hands, the South Florida-based singjay is pulling out all the stops for the uptempo single. “We already started YouTube promotion and got over 150,000 views in 16 hours. On Top of The World’s music video premiered on (South Florida entertainment show) Deco Drive in front of over three million people. Next the video will be broadcast on MTV, BET, Tempo, Stingray and over 800 other TV and department stores nationwide, Europe, Africa and the Caribbean,” Honorebel disclosed.
‘On Top of The World’ was released in May and has done the rounds in South Florida. In late May, Honorebel showcased the track during his performance at Unifest in Fort Lauderdale. The track is part of Honorebel’s upcoming album which is expected out this year. He credits new management for the favorable response to ‘On Top of The World’.
“We have tremendous faith because we were offered a deal from Sony Music but declined because that deal didn’t fit the direction we were on, so we decided to stay independent with this project. We know that we have something special and magical so let’s share it with the world,” he said.
Honorebel is a stalwart of the South Florida music scene who has successfully balanced dancehall and hip hop. His biggest commercial seller is ‘Now You See It’ (Shake That Ass), a 2010 collaboration with Pitbull and Jump Smokers that entered Billboard Magazine’s dance charts.
