Contemporary praise and worship artiste Rayon Baugh is using his music to make the world a better place.
“As a Christian singer and songwriter, spending time meditating upon the word of God and seeking his presence continually has allowed me to receive divine inspirations to create new melodies and lyrics for the time and season. I’m not concerned about making hit songs, the mission is much bigger than that. Every time I step into the recording booth. I’m inspired to create music that will make a positive impact on people and help to make the world a better place,” he said.
Baugh recently released his third album, ’Acall2worship’ which was produced by Jim Ebert and Niel Ellis. The eight-track album which was released on June 2 features songs such as ‘The Battle Is Won’ featuring Glacia Robinson, ‘City of God’ featuring Carlene Baugh, ‘Who Is Like unto Thee’, ‘War Cry’, and ‘Worship with The Angels’.
“I began working on this project almost four years ago. During the time leading up to its completion I released a handful of singles from the album including ‘My Heart Belongs to You’ and ‘It’s You I Worship’. The singer recently released a video for ‘The Battle Is Won’ from the album.
“I’m pleased with the feedback that I am getting about this video. Everyone who’s seen it has given it the thumbs up. It is a very uplifting song. I am so humbled that God has chosen Glacia and I as the messengers to deliver this message of hope to his people.” Rayon Baugh came to national attention when he entered the JCDC gospel festival in 1992 with a song titled ’Keep Your Feet on The Ground’.
Prior to the release of his latest album ‘ACALL2WORSHIP’, he released two albums, ‘Keep Your Feet on the Ground’ (1999) and ‘The Journey’ (2005)
Rayon Baugh is also a published author; he made his literary debut in 2019 with the publication of his book titled ‘#ACall2Worship’ which chronicles his life journey and his walk with God. It also gives insights about the type of worship that God desires from his people.
The book and the album are of the same name and are one project. “As one reads the book one can also listen to songs of praise and worship as time is spent in his presence, “he said. All his work is now available on all digital platforms.
