Ginjah to Drop 10th Album

‘Music is Mine’, the 10th studio album from Ginjah, will be released on October 13, less than one year after ‘The Message’, his previous set.

This album has songs produced by Rapid Production, Sart Out Records and British Linkz. ‘Immigration’, its lead single, was released last summer while the title track came out on September 22.

Ginjah has high hopes for the project which has 19 songs, others being ‘Bring Back the Love’ and ‘Fighter’.  “This album is personal because the phrase music is mine is how I feel throughout everything, knowing I never gave up with all the trials and tribulations that come with the industry. But those formative years made me who I am, through it all I never lost my way,” Ginjah reasoned.

To help promote ‘Music Is Mine’, he is scheduled to perform in Detroit, Los Angeles and Dallas.

Ginjah was born in Hanover, a rural parish in western Jamaica. He spent most of his formal years in Central Village, a rugged community on the outskirts of Kingston, Jamaica’s capital.  Since he began recording songs in the mid-1990s, Ginjah has worked with producers such as Lloyd “King Jammy” James, Beres Hammond and Silly Walks Discotheque out of Germany.

He spent four years with Hammond’s Harmony House label before branching out. Ginjah’s hit songs include ‘Sweet Killer’ and ‘Guilty Conscience’.
