The sultry tones of ‘Once Again’, Ginjah’s latest song, sums up the singer’s new approach to music. He is singing for the ladies. The single is recorded on the ‘riddim’ of the same name, produced by DJ Teddy Productions. ‘Once Again’, according to Ginjah, also caps a strong 2024 for him.
“It was a great year, I put in a lot of work. I got a big tune with ‘Tun Up’, now the follow-up is ‘Once Again’. I drop a brand-new video an’ the ladies loving it…. just giving the ladies their flowers,” he said.
Over the years, Ginjah’s songs have been a mix of socially aware and lover’s rock. One of his biggest hits is ‘Sweet Killer’, a radio-friendly jam produced by German company Silly Walks Discotheque on its massive Honey Pot beat.
While most of the songs on his 2021 album, ‘Ginjah the Reggae Soul Man’ had roots themes, it hinted of things to come with songs like ‘Feel Love’.
The dreadlocked artist believes that after over 20 years in the music business, he has found his comfort zone. “At this moment I’m singing ballads, I’m feeling as if I find my true calling. Lovers rock is the way for Ginjah right now, the ladies love the songs I’m putting out,” he said.
