Fancy Lady a Multifaceted Talent Making Waves in the Music and Entertainment Industry

Christine “Fancy Lady” Williams is a name that you may not have heard before, but you soon will. This Jamaican-born, Toronto-based artist has a resume that reads like a Hollywood starlet’s, with a wealth of experience in various industries, from dental assisting to fashion designing, acting, hosting, and sales management. Yet, despite her numerous accomplishments, music remains at the forefront of Fancy Lady’s career.

Fancy Lady is a gifted musician and percussionist, playing the African drums with incredible skill. She and her team were awarded the Della Vaga Drummer of St. Catherine “Best Drummer in the Caribbean,” a testament to her musical talent. She also shares her knowledge and passion for drumming, volunteering to teach grade 4 and 5 students at West Glen Public School the fundamentals of drumming, and successfully preparing and performing with them at their spring concert in 2021.

Fancy Lady’s music career is equally impressive. She has released numerous singles, including ‘Mommy Prayer,’ ‘If You Fall,’ ‘Close to Me,’ ‘I Want You Back,’ and ‘To the End Like Chucky.’ She has performed on Toronto’s yearly stage show called “Buss,” organized by Yello and Bigs 4000, as well as the 2019 Canjam yearly Festival, organized by Bigga Boss and Team.

But music is not the only field where Fancy Lady shines. She has also made a name for herself in the acting world, appearing in TV shows such as “Warehouse 13” and “Da Kink in My Hair,” as well as playing roles in comedy drama plays such as “The Head Girl” and “Truthful Lies.”

Despite her busy schedule, Fancy Lady still found time to attend the Jamaica Music Conference in February 2020, where she was invited to perform twice. One of her performances included a showcase of artists representing the 2020 Rastafest and Sistahfest festival for Toronto, organized by Masani Montague. She also hosts FL.Production’s “It’s Now or Never” talk show, bringing her infectious energy and charm to the small screen.

Fancy Lady’s talent and dedication to her craft are evident in her work, both in music and acting. But it’s her willingness to give back to her community and inspire the next generation of artists that truly sets her apart. Look out for her EP dropping in 2023 and her latest reggae project titled ‘One Melody Riddim,’ featuring artists like Pinchers, Mikey Melody, Mikey General, Turbulance, Norval Edgehill, and Daveno. With Fancy Lady’s talent and energy, the sky’s the limit for this multifaceted artist.
