Canadian-based dancehall artiste turned producer Dipherence is pleased with the response to his debut rhythm project which is title titled the ‘Shoe Lace Riddim’.
The project which features songs from several up-and-coming dancehall artistes including Dipherence, Brimstone, Planky Don, Kelard Tha Lyricist, Cendo and SK Nu Erah was released on February 28 on the TOPHITSMUZYKK imprint.
“I’m happy with the response that this project is receiving it’s getting support from DJs in various parts of the world including Jamaica, the US, Canada, Africa, the UK, and Europe,” he said.
The Kingston-born deejay who currently resides in Toronto decided to go into music production to give himself and other aspiring dancehall artistes an opportunity to make a name for themselves in the music business.
“I’ve created this label to give myself and the artistes in my circle a platform to explore their creativity and achieve success with their talent. This is a serious investment therefore I am doing everything I can to make this project a success,” said Dipherence.
Although it’s not easy being a recording artiste and a producer, the industrious entertainer is determined to make his mark in both spheres of the music business.
“It takes a lot of hard work to be a producer and an artiste, but I am not going to let that stop me from achieving my goals. When I am not in the studio, I spend a lot of time reading and watching videos online about the music business. I also have a great publicist and mentor who offers me a lot of guidance.”
