Culture Brown Announces His Powerful New Album ‘Go Deh’

International reggae artist and cultural force Culture Brown has just unveiled news that’s sure to electrify fans worldwide: the release of his highly anticipated 7th studio album,Go Deh”. Dropping soon on his independent imprint Akeel Records, this vibrant 11-track project marks the fourth album under his label, further solidifying his status as a cornerstone of modern reggae and Jamaican cultural expression.

With a career that spans decades, Culture Brown is no stranger to the pulse of reggae’s heart. He’s collaborated with legends such as Sly & Robbie, Beres Hammond, Junior Reid, Stranger Cole, and Delroy Wilson, crafting music that has echoed across continents. His timeless duet with Beres Hammond, Militancy”, remains a fan favorite across eight countries including the US and UK, and helped seal his reputation as a true torchbearer of the genre.

More than just an album, Go Deh” is a global celebration of Jamaican roots, resilience, and rhythm. The title — Jamaican Patois for “Go ahead” or “Move on” — captures the album’s central message of forward motion, inner strength, and cultural dignity. From its clean, family-friendly lyrics to its pulsating grooves, every track offers a blend of tradition and innovation.  Especially potent are Tracks 3 and 4, where listeners are immersed in the raw essence of Jamaican spirit, filled with lyrical sunshine and militant positivity.

 Culture Brown continues to stretch the boundaries of reggae with Go Deh”. Among the standout collaborations is “Everyday”, produced by Canadian rock and reggae virtuoso Gordie Johnson of Big Sugar. The track also features the unmistakable vocals of Machan Taylor, an American rock legend who has shared stages with Pink Floyd, Sting, and Gov’t Mule. Their collaboration, Brown says, “has never been done before” — a historical blend of reggae soul and rock energy.

The album also includes a heartfelt tribute to the late Lee “Scratch” Perry, a pioneer whose influence and mentorship left a lasting mark on Culture Brown’s musical and personal journey.

 More than a musician, Culture Brown is a dedicated humanitarian and advocate for inclusion. As the Reggae Ambassador for Persons with Disabilities in Europe (2017), he has used his platform to offer free concerts to communities with disabilities around the world.

His track “Beautiful”, written in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Canada, pays homage to his late friends Jonny Kucan and Roger B, encapsulating love, loss, and legacy through melody.
