Guyanese reggae and dancehall artiste Comet plans to unite the world with his music.
“I want to unite the world with my music and that is why I only record songs that carry positive messages. I am fully aware that as an artiste it is my duty to uplift, inspire and unite the masses with the music that the Most High has blessed me to create. I pray that as I continue on this journey I will never forget my mission,” he said.
The multi-talented singer, songwriter, and producer who hails Dennis Brown, Burning Spear, Gregory Isaacs, Michael Jackson and Phil Collins among his musical influences believes that he was born to be an artiste.
“From as early as I can recall I have had a very strong love for music. It all began at the age of three when my uncle gave me a guitar. From that point onwards my love for music just kept growing. While growing up my mind was like a recording studio as I soaked up all the different genres of music, I was hearing around me. I was also hearing melodies in my head and I also started composing songs in my mind,” said Comet.
Comet is currently getting ready to release a new single titled Come Along. The song which was produced by him is scheduled to be released by his Ready Now Entertainment imprint on October 25.
“Although my new single has not been released yet I have been getting a lot of positive feedback from my colleagues in the music industry about it. I am confident that it will be well-received by music lovers worldwide.”
Comet given name Samuel McIntosh was born in Linden, Guyana. He currently resides in California, USA. He launched his recording career in 2008.
