Chezidek Stands up for the Ganja Man

‘Caan Believe’, the latest song by Chezidek, looks at the challenges users of marijuana face in Jamaica. Produced by Tad Dawkins Jr., it is scheduled for release on February 13, 2026, by Tad’s International Record.

In ‘Caan Believe’, the victim is an average Joe from St. Elizabeth, a rural parish in southern Jamaica which is considered one of the country’s biggest producers of marijuana, or ganja as it is commonly known there.

‘Caan Believe’ will be one of the songs from ‘Marijuana Prayer’, Chezidek’s upcoming album which is slated for release in late May by Tad’s International Record.

On the defiant song, Chezidek is backed by the Tad’s All Stars, which comprises several of reggae’s elite musicians. They are Donald “Danny Bassie” Dennis on bass, Kirk Bennett on drums, guitarist Mitchum Khan, pianist/organists Franklyn “Bubbla” Waul and Carol “Bowie” McLaughlin, keyboardist Wade Johnson, percussionist Stephen “Shaq” Forbes, and horn players Dean Fraser, Okeil McIntyre, Everton Pessoa and Randy Fletcher.

The upcoming song and album continue Chezidek’s association with Tad’s International Record. The company distributed ‘Hello Africa’, the roots artist’s 2020 album.
