Atlanta-based Jamaican-born reggae artiste Anthony Mattai is looking forward to the release of his upcoming single, ‘Struggle Is Real’. The song which was produced by him, and Shawn Evering is slated to be released next month by Street People label and Mattai Music.
“I don’t know anyone who doesn’t know what it means to struggle. No matter how rich or poor you are, as long as you are alive you must face some kind of struggle. Life is a struggle for everyone, it’s only the most enlightened among us, the sages who do not struggle. So, this song is a song of upliftment and inspiration for everyone in the struggle,” he said.
The Kingston-born singer is currently working on his debut album, ‘Rebirth of the Renaissance’ which is slated to be released later this year.
“This is my first full-length project, and I am very excited about it. The production process is going smoothly, and the album is almost completed we just have a few more songs to go,” said Anthony Mattai.
Anthony Mattai originally hails from Cockburn Pen, Kingston. He’s a graduate of Pembroke Hall High School. He launched his recording career with the release of a single titled ‘Mama Cry’ which was produced by Star Trail and released by Big Foote Records in 1995.
Some of his other songs are ‘Leave it all to God’ featuring Ras Fraser Jr and ‘Party’ featuring Teflon.
