Andru Branch & Halfway Tree are celebrating a milestone few bands ever reach: 30 years of making music together. To honour the occasion, the beloved Canadian reggae group has released their 30th Anniversary Collection of ‘Live Dub Instrumentals’—a transportive set of live board mixes that captures the depth, chemistry and heavy-rooted spirit that have defined their sound since 1995.

The new anniversary collection is both a tribute and a time capsule—showcasing the band’s evolution through the raw, immersive energy of live dub. According to bandleader Andru Branch, the magic of the album lies not only in the music itself, but in the band’s remarkable longevity. And he has a very specific recommendation for how fans should experience it.
“I would recommend that this album should not be listened to with intention! Just turn it up and listen to the whole thing while driving or making a meal or doing dishes or something domestic. Dat way you will get the full effect,” says Branch.
As they celebrate this landmark year, Andru Branch & Halfway Tree are already booking festival dates for 2026, gearing up to bring their deep grooves and expansive dub sound back to stages across Canada and beyond.
