Andrae Duhaney Delivers Late Summer Single “Let Me Love You”

Jamaican Canadian reggae artist Andrae Duhaney closed out summer 2024 on a high note with his latest single, ‘Let Me Love You’. Released under the independent label Rumba Box Records and produced by Patrick “Dr. Watson” Quine of Watson Unlimited Music, this new track showcases Duhaney’s ability to fuse classic reggae sounds with a modern lyrical message, all while creating an unmistakable Lover’s Rock vibe.

With string arrangements that evoke the golden era of Dennis Brown and the soulful richness of 1970s John Holt, Let Me Love You’ is a lush throwback to reggae’s roots in romance. Yet, the song’s lyrics add a contemporary twist, speaking directly to a woman who is hesitant to open herself up to love again. Duhaney captures this delicate emotional space with heartfelt lyrics, aiming to encourage those who are guarded in relationships to take a chance on love once more.

“I was inspired to write this song because I have many female friends who are single and are afraid to get into new relationships because of disappointments in the past. I think they are missing out on creating something new and exciting,” Duhaney shared.

The track is a continuation of the musical style Duhaney established with ‘Swept Away’, his previous hit that earned a “Song of the Year” nomination at the 2024 Reggae North Music Awards. Together with Quine, Duhaney is carving out a niche in the reggae world that bridges classic sounds with modern storytelling, appealing to fans of traditional reggae as well as contemporary music lovers.

‘Let Me Love You’ is available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Deezer, and YouTube, With this single, Andrae Duhaney has crafted a soulful anthem for anyone willing to open their heart anew, all while keeping the spirit of reggae.
