Alwayne Love Drops Debut Album

Singer/songwriter Alwayne Love’s self-titled debut album has been released today (May 1) by T25 Records, a company based in Brooklyn, New York. The Jamaican artist’s first full-length project, it has nine songs.

Among those tracks is ‘Africa the Motherland’ which was released in 2024.

Love, who is from St. Mary parish in Jamaica, wrote all the songs. ‘Alwayne Love’ is co-produced by Mark Burke and Steven Ventura with Christopher Campbell as executive producer.

Production on the album started six years ago during the Covid-19 lockdowns. Love and his team went all out to express his eclectic tastes. “The record label and I, along with the producer and co-producer, set out to explore different sounds, and different styles of music. Our goal was to highlight all inspiration,” he said.

‘Wake Up’ is the song Love is currently promoting. Other songs from ‘Alwayne Love’ include ‘See Me Now’ and ‘Drop it Supreme’.

Alwayne Love started his career as gospel artist J Love. He went secular after a change in moniker and has since released a number of singles, including ‘Africa the Motherland’, which was followed last year by ‘Nobody but Love’. The latter was also released by T25 Records, Campbell’s company.

The most significant aspect of his album, Love notes, is personal growth.

“Alwayne Love should be seen as an artist that is growing while observing and overcoming challenges that keep me grounded spiritually and physically. The idea is to keep a balance between the two,” he said.
